Terms of Service
Last updated: November 5, 2026
Atlas is a trip-planning website run by Devin LaMontagne, a sole proprietor based in Minnesota ("we", "us"). By using Atlas you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What Atlas is, and what it isn't
- Atlas helps you plan a trip: place information, photos, weather, cost estimates, itineraries and packing lists. Planning is free.
- Book It gives you links to third-party booking sites (for example Google Flights, Kayak, Skyscanner, Booking.com, Airbnb, Vrbo, Expedia, Hotels.com, GetYourGuide, Viator and Rome2Rio), prefilled with your trip details.
- Atlas is not a travel agent and does not sell travel. We don't book, price, or guarantee any flight, room, car or tour. Anything you buy on another site is between you and that company, under their terms and prices.
- Atlas does not fetch live prices. Cost figures shown in Atlas are estimates. Prices, availability and currency on the third-party site are theirs and can differ from our estimates.
- Place, weather, safety and holiday information comes from public sources (such as Wikipedia, Wikidata, OpenStreetMap, Open-Meteo and government travel advisories) and can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Always check official sources before you travel, especially entry requirements and safety advice.
Free to use, no accounts
Atlas, including Book It, is free and works without an account: there's nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy. If we ever introduce paid features, we'll publish their terms, price and refund policy here before anyone can buy them.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse Atlas: no scraping or bulk-downloading content, no attempts to get around our access controls, no interfering with the site, and no reselling Book It content. We may block access for anyone who does.
Third-party sites
Links open other companies' websites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, prices, bookings, refunds or privacy practices.
Affiliate links: some Book It links are affiliate links. If you book through one, the provider (or an affiliate network such as Travelpayouts) may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and commissions don't change which providers we show or the order we show them in.
No warranty
Atlas is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available but don't promise it will be error-free or always online.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim related to Atlas is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for losses from travel bookings you make with third parties, or for decisions made on the basis of estimates or public-source information shown in Atlas. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the date above will change and significant changes will be announced on the site. You can stop using Atlas at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
